Are you struggling with issues related to life changes or transition, anxiety, trauma, or relational issues?

These are the specific areas that I work with as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Finding a safe space to land in times of self-discovery can activate our nervous system & emotions, causing us to possibly have some struggles with how to process it all. In the therapy space, we take time together to process and empower you to find the next step. The modalities I utilize and implement are centered around Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. While all of this is important for you as an informed consumer and human going into a vulnerable space, together we will create a roadmap to work towards healing.

“Vulnerability is not winning or losing; it's having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome. Vulnerability is not weakness; it's our greatest measure of courage.”

Frequently Asked Questions

  • You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people seek counseling because they feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, anxious, uncertain about a relationship, or simply want to understand themselves better. Therapy can provide a safe space to explore your experiences, gain insight, and develop tools to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and clarity.

  • Yes! Consult calls are a great way for us to get to know one another before we meet for the first time. Consult calls are approximately 30- minutes long which I share information about myself as a clinician and you get to share what has led you to seek therapy at this time. In this call, you will also hear about policies, confidentiality, and other housekeeping details.

  • Insurance is not accepted at Deeply Rooted Therapy & Wellness. There are many reasons for this, but mostly for your confidentiality, and my ethics. We can discuss sliding scale options, so please don't hesitate to bring it up. Finances should not be a barrier to treatment, and it often is without insurance. Therefore, my ethics implore me to allow us to work together regardless of that barrier, to the best of my ability.

  • This is a great question that depends on many different specifics, which we can discuss in our consultation. Understandably, you are seeking a timeline and relief. If we work together, we will create a treatment plan for you and your goals.

  • If you need to cancel your appointment, please do so 48 hours in advance. If you know even further in advance that you will not be able to make your appointment, please reach out to let me know. All cancellations outside of those 48 hours or no-shows will be charged the full rate of your session.

  • Sessions are 50 minutes long. If you would like to have longer sessions, please ask, as they are offered with an increased fee. Everyone is different, and everyone's treatment is different. We can establish frequency based on your ability, need, season of life, etc.

  • Deeply Rooted Therapy & Wellness provides both in-person and telehealth appointments. If you are local (Tampa Bay area), a combination of both is often utilized.

  • You're closer than you think! You can either fill out the contact form or contact me at brittany@deeplyrootedtherapyandwellness.com. We will schedule a phone call and as soon as we decide whether or not to move forward, you will receive intake paperwork along with scheduling our initial appointment.

  • The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, your goals, relevant history, and any questions you may have about the process. My goal is to create a comfortable, collaborative environment where you feel heard, understood, and supported from the very beginning. You should know, we have a therapeutic dog in office, Dasher!
